Hananiah: Prophet Jeremiah was alive, when the Israelites left Jerusalem on exile to Babylon. And he was still alive when they returned from the exile. He was among those who prepared the Israelites for the exile in Babylon.

Why Jeremiah Was Not Among The Captives

Hananiah: Himself was not among the exiles, because the Babylonians did not capture him. God showed him where to stay, with other Israelites, who were obedient to God. That was his salvation. They were few, until after many years.
